The purpose of potential appraisal is to identify the
potential of an employee to occupy senior positions in the
institutional hierarchy and can undertake responsibilities.To improve
the skills and knowledge of an employee, the institutions have to
provide performance coaching at regularly basis.
Performance coaching takes place when a supervisor gets involved
in the activity performed by subordinate and provides feedback for
the purpose of improving performance. Feedback is a practice by
which the trainer provides useful and productive feedback on the
trainee’s performance of learned skills.Training helps worker to
develop his job knowledge and skills. It inspires employees to do
their existing job more proficiently and prepare themselves for a
senior level job.
