A smaller study with the AAB-type Lady Finger bananas sourced
from one growing district on one occasion showed a similar relationship. Log10 green life increased with decreasing temperature
(P < 0.001), decreasing log10 ethylene concentration (P < 0.001) and
its square (P < 0.047). A significant interaction between temperature and log10 ethylene concentration was also observed (P = 0.006)
