Much of our previous discussions of equal employment opportunity (EEO) have centered on the selection process. Undoubtedly, equal employment opportunities are most prevalent in the hiring process, but EEO’s application to training and development cannot be overlooked. Remember that our definition of adverse impact includes any HRM activity that adversely affects protected group members in hiring, firing, and promoting.
