One millilitre of actively growing bacterial cultures was
pour plated in nutrient agar plates. Antibiotic discs (Himedia)
of Ceftriaxone (Cf30; 30lg/disc), Clotrimazole (Cl30;
30 lg/disc), Tetracyline (T30; 30 lg/disc), Metronidazole
(Mt3; 3 lg/disc) and Amoxyclav (Ac5; 5 lg/disc), were
placed at four corners of solidified plates. Plates were
incubated for 2–3 days at 30 ± 2 C. Inhibition zones
appeared after the incubation was noted for individual
organisms and antibiotic(s).
