The research question presented at the beginning of this work addressed the benefits and problems that could be verified with the use of electronic records.
As discussed throughout the literature review and in relation to the results of the present
study, the main benefits verified include the standardization of processes; the ease and agility in the recovery of information; better control over prescriptions, materials, and procedures; and better adherence to protocols and standards established by the hospital. Despite these benefits, certain problems were found, such as the difficulty organizing the information on the screens of the system, interruption of the system, and the difficulty in the formatting and adequacy of the reports.
