ORIENTATION – DAY 1
Your first day will consist of an orientation. All observers rounding that month will meet together for the
orientation. At orientation you will:
Receive an overview of USF, USF Health and Tampa General Hospital
Receive and review your complete itinerary.
Go to Tampa General Hospital to receive your ID badge. For security reasons, your ID badge
will be collected upon completion of the observership.
Learn of Grand Rounds and other meetings you can attend during your rotation.
OBSERVERSHIP SCHEDULE
The schedule for a rotation varies according to the observership department, but mainly occurs during
weekdays (Monday through Friday) during regular working hours (8am – 5pm).
DEBRIEFING –DURING THE FINAL WEEK
Close to the last day of your observership you will be sent an evaluation to complete.
During the last week of your observership you will be required to attend a debriefing. At the
debriefing you will:
a. Go over your experience.
b. Share with us any photos you took during your experience.
c. Receive your certificate of completion.
d. Participate in a debriefing testimonial video highlighting your experience.
