Now you know a little bit more about the schoolgirl, the soccer player, and the student and no just their names. You've shared their hopes, dreams, and happiness in World One. You've traveled with them through the danger, fear, and sadness in the news reports. You've watched them face many changes and problems in World Two. So, thought youd like to find out what they're doing now. I visited a community center in London earlier today. Its in one of the poorer areas of town, and the building is old and rather ugly outside it looks like an ordinary building, just like all the others around it. But inside extraordinary things are happening. And I'm happy to say that our three new friends are very much a part of these things. The first person I met when I arrived was Maya, who is now one of the center managers. She had agreed to give me a tour of the center. And it soon became obvious that she had a lot to tell me about it. First I asked her how she became involved with the center. only I started teaching English here: Maya began. that I going to be for six weeks but stayed. I have to a did not like it when I first came here. But the people here welcomed me and my students warmly, so I soon comfortable here. I realized that the people were the hear felt.
