maximum productivity (Samantaray and Mallick 2013) were incubated under dark for 5 days. To study the
impact of inoculum size on biomass yield and co-polymer accumulation, different inoculum size was selected
ranging from 40 to 120 mg dry cell wt (dcw l-1), and polymer accumulation was analyzed at timed intervals. Copolymer
accumulation was also studied in cultures grown at various temperature, ranging from 20 to 40 0C (with
an interval of 4 0C). The pH was adjusted to different values, ranging from 5.5 to 10.5 (MES buffer, 4 mM for
pHs 5.5 and 6.5, and Tris buffer, 4 mM for pH 7.5–10.5) before introducing A. fertilissima inoculum into the
medium.
