Spoon a generous layer of custard to the bottom of the bread bowl. Homemade custard, preferably. Just heat a mixture of egg yolks, milk, cornstarch, and sugar together.
Take those beautiful golden toasted cubes and put them back into the bread bowl. The trick is to make it look completely the same.
Drizzle lots of honey over the toast.
Put a generous scoop of ice cream of your choice. Alan and I used banana nut, which both of us actually have never had before. Add any berries.
