Your national broadcasting Commission says it will soon add an 11th digit to all mobile phone numbers. Thailand already has more mobile users than available number. Now, the two-digit “area code”(actually network identifier) preceding each number theoretically should yield 800 million number. But the weirdly incompetent numbering system established less than a decade ago over massive warnings has become so unusable that some mobile networks are reaching the limit. An 11th digit for mobile phones thus seems inevitable.
