Brazil- Drought sees plants anticipate the end of harvest
A lack of rain in this year’s sugarcane crop has already seen ten plants anticipate the closure of the crop in the south central region, UDOP reports. The activities begin to be stopped from the second half of October --most run until December. According to UNICA (Union of Cane Sugar Industry), the early closure of the harvest occurs because of the lower supply of raw material for processing due to the drought.
