During the French Revolution, Anne discovered that the descendants of three of her ancestor's interrogators had, over the centuries, changed names and continued to reside in Paris. After one such descendant, Bertrand Grimany, published a newspaper article revealing his lineage, Anne located and murdered him. Shortly thereafter, she did the same to Paul Teragon, Guillaume de Nogaret's descendant, and attempted to murder a third man, Victor de Prasi. However, de Prasi managed to fend off the attack, causing Anne to flee.
