Analysis of the data began immediately after the first
interview and was performed simultaneously with the data
collection. According to Graneheim and Lundman’s (2004)
content analysis method, the interviews were first transcribed
verbatim and the transcriptions were read several times to
get a general understanding of the entire concept. The
meaning units in the interview scripts were then identified
and the initial codes were extracted. The codes were then
compared and grouped under relevant subcategories based
on their similarities and differences. This abstraction process
was continued to obtain a number of categories and
ultimately the main theme, which reflected the latent content
of the transcript
