To all my friends from France and anywhere else: I hope you, your families and friends are safe. May no one of you and no one you know be affected by any of the terrible things happening in Paris right now. You are on my mind. I'm hoping for the best for all of you.
It is bad enough that such events as the latest that took place in Paris are still happening in a society that sees itself as one of the best educated and most efficiently working ones this world has ever seen.
But even worse is that there are still individuals out there who think that it is right and morally justified to kill other people for their own beliefs and persuasions. They act from conviction, but what kind of conviction can this be?
It is not right. It is not fair. And it is not what belongs in a society that calls itself "globalized", "tolerant" and "multicultural".
This is not humanity.
Humanity is living together in peace, standing up for each other and accepting everyone as the person they are. Let us never forget this.
