Couldn't we argue that lie detection devices in everyday life is an invasion of privacy? There are quite a few situations where telling a lie can avoid conflicts and be a good thing.
Moreover, not knowing how the other person feels or think often encourages us to open-up and make an effort to try to see the world / context from their perspective. It helps us try to understand them.
Regarding marketing applications, I certainly don't want them to use those kind of data. Am I the only one?
Finally, if we live in a country like the UK where there are surveillance cameras on every corner, it even becomes scary don't you think?
