Another survey found that nearly 2 in 3 consumers who own a mobile device said they already have or plan to use those devices to access services to their life insurance policies, although currently only about 30% of life insurance services have such capabilities (LIMRA,2014a). Other forms of insurance are more likly to be purchased online. For instance, according to a 2013 comScore study, the online channel continues to by consumers' preferred method for shopping for auto insurance policies, with over two-thirds of shoppers getting an online quote (comScore, 2013a). Insurance companies are also making increased use of social media. For instance, a LIMRA survey found that over 90% of life insurance companies hed social media programs, up from 60% in 2010.
