The containers with sweet corn must be moved to the market and prepacked immediately after
discharge.
If the container cannot be dispatched immediately, it must be connected to a correct cold air supply
system in the port terminal or container depot.
Time between discharge and marketing must be kept to an absolute minimum.
The corn must be cold at all times and condensation must be avoided.
Some of the above mentioned procedures must still be quantified. It is however, important to note that
sweet corn can be landed in a very good condition overseas, if the cold chain is maintained at all times.
