Conclusion
Antimicrobial nano-silver packaging containing masterbatch
with Ag/TiO2 nanopowder has been produced. Owing to the strong
electrostatic adsorption that exists between the Ag precursor and
the TiO2, well-dispersed Ag particles on TiO2are obtained during
the preparation process. The small amount of migration of silver
from the ANP films can inhibit the A. flavus significantly and reduce
the mildew of rice during storage. Changes in physicochemical
properties and the degree of mildew of rice apparently occur during
storage under the hot and humid condition, and packaging
material ANP plays an important role for the rice aging process.
ANP is proven to be efficient for retarding the changes of pasting
qualities and texture, and extending shelf life. Therefore, ANP is a
promising packaging material for rice storage against environment
