Join us for a day of stunning scenery as our stylish train takes us on an unforgettable journey along the west coast main line to the Highlands of Scotland. After crossing the border near Gretna we continue north over Beattock towards Edinburgh and then onwards through the beautiful Tay Valley to Pitlochry. You can choose to leave the train at this bustling mountain village for a break of around five hours. This would give plenty of time to enjoy the famous Highland Games (admission charge) which are based in Pitlochry on this day.
You may prefer to visit the nearby Salmon ladder, browse the local shops or join our coach (£5.00 supplement) for the twenty minute ride north to visit The House Bruar known locally as the Harrods of the North. Another option would be to stay aboard the train and enjoy the Highland scenery all the way through to Inverness where a short break of one to two hours would be available. Either way this tour offers a wonderful day with magnificent scenery, a choice of destination and the chance to enjoy the world famous Highland Games.
