The events and instruments preceding the birth of the violin, and which gave the greatest contributions to its conception, are presented in this room. Also displayed are five instruments, or parts of them, which illustrate important moments in the early history of the violin. If you are intrigued by names and linguistic phenomena, you will find a text “To start with ….” on the left-hand wall as you come in.
