The influence of chemical and enzymatic treatments on the
crystalline nature of the resulting nanofibers was investigated.Fig. 5 brings the XRD patterns of the bran and CNFs prepared in this
study. The bran contained a large amorphous portion; the typical Btype
pattern peak at 2q ¼ 17 evidenced the presence of starch
(Pirani & Hashaikeh, 2013).
