According to the results, the common cations and anions in beverage samples do not cause interference in determination of trace of tin species that can be owing to high selectivity tendency of GC+ to Sn(IV) in presence of glycine and CPC in micellar media at pH 8.5.
The most serious interference has been observed from Mo6+, Hg2+ and Ag+ ions including CN ions.
Their interfering effects were successfully eliminated up to a tolerance ratio changing in range of 50–150 by using redox sensitive masking agents like ascorbic acid and thiourea.
