With a soulful passion far beyond his years, pop-R&B singer Justin Bieber was just barely into his teens when he was discovered by talent agent and former So So Def marketing executive Scooter Braun. An Ontario native, Bieber placed second in a local singing competition in 2007 and began posting contest videos on YouTube. The videos caught the attention of Braun, then Usher and L.A. Reid, and the 15-year-old Bieber was quickly signed to a recording contract. In 2009, the youthful vocalist became a regular visitor to the pop charts. My World reached the Top Ten of the Billboard 200, while the following year's My World 2.0 topped the same chart. 2012's Believe hit number one and reached platinum status around the world.
