The researcher interviewed 9 community members who are local residents at
Klong Suan 100-year-old market during weekdays on February 2014. The in-depth
interviews took place at their houses and took about 45 to 60 minutes to complete.
The respondents allow the researcher to disclose their names and names of their
shops. They also allow the researcher to quote some of their statements and opinions
in the research. The first part of the interviews is the respondents’ opinions towards
characteristics of successful community-based tourism, including social development,
economic development, and environmental development. The second part is the
respondents’ perceptions towards the success factors of community-based tourism and
what they think would be the most important factors.
