PM Training is performed with an outside consultant. Another consultant was used until
recently, but that company was too software-development oriented for this company’s needs,
which are more inclined toward system integration. The PM Training is more “employee-pull,
than supervisor-push”; i.e. the employee, not the employer, chooses which of eight modules to
study and when. There are sixty people in his group who are dispersed throughout the U.S. and
Canada, complicating communication and changing the basis for lessons learned between the
group members.
