Once the opportunity is underway and the venture launched to fulfill it, the entrepreneur becomes committed to (perhaps consumed by) the process. To paraphrase Naisbitt&Aburdene, “When you identify your purpose, when you experience the authorship of a vision, you find yourself doing your life’s work instead of just doing time.”24 The vision the entrepreneur has of how the new invention, process, or methodology is to be applied becomes the template for the venture. It is the overwhelming guide that directs the entrepreneur and the company. Used in a proper fashion, or at least in a judicious manner, it serves to successfully achieve the desired goal.
