In this passage, three friends talk about a cake they have just bought.
Jake:
The cake is bland. It is very mild and doesn't have much flavor. I can barely taste it! On the other hand, the icing is too sweet. When I take a bite of icing, it feels like I am eating pure sugar.
Robert:
The cake is too expensive. I cannot believe we spent $95 to buy it. You can buy the same cake at the grocery store for half that price. The next time we buy a cake, let's definitely look somewhere else.
Gillian:
The cake is outstanding! It is like a beautiful sculpture. It is perfectly round at the bottom. The middle is a bunch of blocks. The top is a tiny triangle. And I really like the red and purple flowers that it has on the side. The cake is so pretty that I almost don't want to eat it.
