Abstract:
Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education(MTB-MLE) is a formal or non-formal education, in which the children’s mother tongue is used in the classroom as a bridge in learning Filipino and English.
The study focuses on the selection of Ilokano literary texts for integration in selected Grades I and II topics for MTB-MLE curriculum. The selected literary texts are used in the production of lesson plans which may be used as instructional materials for the selected topics. Based on the result of the study, there are nine ( 9) literary texts selected for integration in MTB-MLE curriculum.
