Ethical Behavior
There has been much discussion and concern about unethical business behavior in recent years, and business is starting to get the point. Simply relying on employees to use their best judgment does not seem to be enough to ensure that people in leadership positions behave ethically. In fact, a recent survey of more than 3,000 U.S. workers revealed that a variety of unethical behaviors still occur frequently: At least one out of six workers reported that they observed managers who were abusive or intimidating, lied to customers and employees, and/or tolerated safety violations that could result in harm.
