John Kellogg and his brother, Keith Kellogg, had introduced a healthy menu . In 1894, they were doctors in a hospital at Battle Creek in Michigan which had a strict health care. Breakfast was replaced by milk, dried fruits, or rice soup. After they cooking cereals, they were called to work. When they came back, they had found that whole grains they had left in the oven were not crunchy anymore. Then, they have a creation. They tried to dry the grains to make them crispy by using some of the ironing boards in a machine. They observe the result was grains turned into rugged thin plates . After that, cereal had become a big success and the most popular breakfast for patients in the hospital, including the households. Cereal is very popular till these days.
