the absolute value of the t stat is > than the 'two tailed' t critical value and indicates that the results for treatment #1 are indeed different to those from #2 the t-stat sign indicates that the #1 mean is smaller than the #2 mean and that the difference is significant, since the t stat value > the 'one tailed' t critical value ( 2.6568 compared to 1.75305 ). the p values are a measure of the reliability of these parameters. P values of 0.05 indicate that there is a 95% confidence level that the t-stat value does not occur by chance. Here the p-values indicate much higher levels of confidence can be placed in the t-test values obtained.
