Nowadays, work stress is such a serious problem and most working people always get used to it. For our daily life, there are lots of activities to do and work is one of the most important things that people have to tackle with in order to generate income to run their family. Because of this, lots of them have been working day in and day out and easily exposed to work stress. Thus, it is vital to explore the cause of work stress among working people. One reason that leads to work stress is workload. Some persons may receive the job that don not match their capacity. Another reason is the relationship at work. Those workers need to collaborate with the colleague and it is easy for them to have the conflicts and competition, causing stress at workplace. A final reason, responsible for work stress is the leadership. Lots of employees are easily exposed to stress at workplace because they are acting as the leaders who have more responsibilities than the staffs.
Many studies conducted by researchers have inferred that there is a correlation between work stress and many correlated factors. Sellers (2011) claimed that stress is the high level of emotional arousal closely attributed to an overload of mental and physical activities it occurs easily when you feel you on not have enough capability or knowledge to complete the assignment. In addition, Martino (2003) conducted the study which yielded the results that stress and violence are apparently increasing at the health sector workplace in which the physicians, nurses, and social workers are working together. The final cause of work stress traced by the study of Sherma, Lee, Cuddy, Renshon, Oveis, & Gross (2012) who stated that once the leaders is promoted, they will face higher demand and, thus, be easily susceptible to higher stress than the subordinate.
Nowadays, developing country that depends on the development of organizations both public and private. These are inevitably associated with the welfare of workers at all levels. World Health Organization (2003) has refers that work stress has an evident negative effect on physical and psychological health of workers and the efficacy of organization. Nevertheless, few researches have proposed the solution to address the problems of work stress. It is beneficial to propose and analyze practical ways to abate work stress among workers at all levels for the sake of the whole society.
