In nineteenth century, science was strongly
established ,It was believed that
“Human are the center of all things”
It implied that
- human are apart from and superior to natural
environment, which has no instinct value on its own,
but only extrinsic value in relation to its perceived
usefulness for people
- “progress” by scientific and technology will result in
a continuous improvement in the quality of human
life
