This study aimed to investigate oral communication problems of 161students as EFL students at English Major Hatyai, University. The data wascollected through a questionnaire and interviews. The questionnaire wasadapted from Senel (2012), as it dealt with possible problems experienced byEFL students. 6 students of 161 at English Major, Hatyai University,Thailand participated in the study. To triangulate the questionnaire data, sixstudents were interviewed face to face. The results revealed that the oralcommunication problems of 161 EFL students could be categorized into fivefactors. Firstly, the students mispronounce in English speaking. Secondly,they got lack of vocabulary. Thirdly, they got grammatical errors in theirspeaking. Fourthly, their mother tongue influence impacted them difficult onspoken English. Fifthly, the psychological factors made them not confidentusing English as a means of communication both inside and outside theclassroom.
