Thank you for providing support to OpenText software users and helping to make OpenText the market leader in enterprise fax. As we strive to maintain this competitive advantage, we are making some changes to the way we go to market with our partners.
Upcoming Changes
Research and development is critical to meet the continuing demand for new features and functions in our software products. With this in mind, we have reviewed our R&D spend in relation to the maintenance discounts we are paying to Authorized Support Partners and have concluded that we must reduce these discounts. Effective November 4, 2015, the discount for annual maintenance renewals and new license margin will shift from 50% to 25%. This adjustment more closely aligns with what partners are entitled to under the wider OpenText Global Partner Program.
Going forward, we require partners to provide complete contact information to OpenText on any renewal PO sent to OpenText. This includes the End User (company) name, shipping address, contact name, fax number, phone number and email address. In addition, all new license sales orders must include complete End User contact information in order to be processed.
New Opportunities
We understand these changes may impact your business structure, and in light of this we want to assure you of our ongoing commitment to working with our partners to drive new revenue. OpenText would like to announce the following new opportunities available to partners:
1. Partners are now able to refer OpenText Cloud products and receive a finder’s fee based on the minimum contractually committed amount (MCV) through our Referral Program. We will be paying a finder’s fee on Cloud deals up front: 10% MCV on contracts with a term of up to 5 years with a cap of $250k in fees. These deals must be registered and approved to qualify, and the deal must close within 12 months of registration. Click here to get started!
2. Additionally, partners are now able to sell the following products:
o RightFax Healthcare Direct: this add-on to RightFax helps U.S. healthcare organizations expand the inbound and outbound use of direct messaging to exchange clinical documents, promoting electronic interoperability between hospitals and their community partners.
o Intelligent Capture Solution: OpenText capture technology intelligently scans incoming documents arriving from various input sources, and converts the information into actionable data that drives automation of business-critical workflow processes.
