The sub-fraction from the DEAE Sepharose FF column with
relatively high antioxidative activities was analyzed through ESI
FT-ICR MS (SolariX hybrid Qq-FTMS, Bruker, Daltonics, Germany)
instrument equipped with an ESI ion source and a 9.4 T superconducting
magnet. After desalting and concentrating, the sample was
directly infused with acetonitrile (50%) that contained 0.1% formic
acid into the source at a flow rate of 1.5 lL/min by using a syringe
pump. Full-scan mass spectra were recorded over an m/z range of
101–2000 in the positive ion mode. The collision-induced dissociation
(CID) mass was set to 545 and 383 m/z, and the isolation
window was set to 10 m/z. Mass spectral data were collected using
SolariXcontrol software and processed using Data Analysis software
(Bruker Daltonics). The parameters for the ESI FT-ICR MS
measurements are shown in Table 1.
