the game contents
■ Regarding to the game contents, refer to the game flow chart.
Each team plays 2 games at the preliminary. The ranking will be decided by the total
score of 2 games at the preliminary, and teams which are going to step forward to the final tournament will be chosen. At the final tournament, the games are quarterfinal, semi-final, and final.
4-1 The playing time
4-1-1 The playing time is 3 minutes
4-1-2 The game will be proceeded based on the timer at the field
4-1-3 At the game, the referees record the score from the game start till the end.
4-1-4 In case the team was late for the game, the referee would record the robot score as zero.
4-2 The position of the robot
4-2-1 The team members place the robot in position.
When placing the robot, any adjustment and modifying for the robot is not allowed.
4-2-2 Under the situation the robot placed in position, all devices except the receiver has to be shut down.
4-2-3 The team members would place the ball on the center of the kicking tee.
When placing the ball, the ball should be kept off the ground on the kicking tee.
4-3 The game start
4-3-1 The game start
The game will be started by the signal for starting the game by referee.
4-3-2 When the false start occurs, the team who did false start has to place the robot in position again following the referee’s instruction, then the game should be restarted smoothly, but the timer doesn’t stop in this case.
4-4 Team members
4-4-1 Basically, the team members can’t touch the robot directly during the game.
4-4-2 In case the referee instructs, the team members can touch the robot.
4-4-3 Before the game started, by the referee’s instruction, the team members should
place the robot in position, take the robot away, and replace the robot.
4-4-4 The team members except the operator should be outside of the playing field. Only when referee instructs, the team members can enter the playing field.
4-4-5 The operator should be one person for each team, and changing the operator during.
The game is not allowed.
4-4-6 Each team has to choose one person to collect the ball and pass the ball to the assistant referee, for the case the ball goes to the outside of the field.
4-5 The game progression
4-5-1 The robot move
When the game starts, the robot kicks the ball towards the goal. When the ball
reaches the goal, the robot takes the ball to the try area gets a try. Then the team has to choose one of the kicking tees and put the ball on it, and aim at the goal.
Till the end of the game, each team repeats the goal kick and try and vies with each other for the total score.
4-5-2 Holding
‘holding’means that the robot controls the ball.
4-5-3 Goal kick
The goal kick should be done from the kicking tee.
The team can get the score when the kicked ball goes through above the goal bar and inside the goal post.
When the robot kicks the ball, holding the ball is not allowed.
Kicking area must be in 50mm square
4-5-4 About a try
Try: the robot holding the ball come into the try-area completely.
In this game, the ball should not be always placed on the ground.
4-5-5 About the ball which goes outside of the playing field
The assistant referee places the ball inside the field. The referees don’t stop the timer in that case. The position the assistant referee places the ball at is different by case.
In case the ball goes outside though the goal side, the ball is placed horizontally center of the wall side
In case the ball goes outside though the right or left side of the field, the ball is placed horizontally near the field wall.
4-6 Score
4-6-1 Goal kick
Score 3 points with a goal from the center kicking tee.
Score 7 points with a goal from the right and left side kicking tee.
4-6-2 Try
Score 1 point with one try
4-7 Interruption of the game
The referees can blow the whistle to stop or interrupt the game, in case safety is not secured or some other serious program happens.
In this case, the timer of the game and the robot will be stopped and the teams have to follow the referee’s instruction. The referees have an authority to restart to the game.
4-8 Falling down, out of order, fixing the robot
4-8-1 When the robot falls down, the robot has to stand up by itself, but when the robot falls down or gets to be out of order, the operator can request the restart, but only once in the game.
First, the operator requests the restart and gets approval from the referee, then one person of the team members takes the robot out of the field, and at the outside of the field the team member can fix the robot.
The operator has to declare to get the robot back to the field, then the robot can play the game again.
The position of the restart: the robot should be placed on the game start position.
