The pre-milk consumption and post-milk consumption levels of salivary mutans streptococci between the group were showed in Table 2., a statistically significant (p < 0.05) reduction of salivary mutans streptococci was demonstrated immediately after and 1 to 4 weeks post-milk consumption between the study and control group. Within the group a statistically significant (p < 0.05) reduction of salivary mutans streptococci was registered immediately after and 1 to 4 weeks post-probiotic milk consumption. While no statistically significant differences were demonstrated among the subjects in the control group (Tables 3).
