Temperature has a significant effect on supercritical fluid extraction process. At a constant pressure, increasing temperature decreases the solubility of solutes by the density affect because density of the SC-CO2 decreases. However, increasing temperature increases the solubility by the vapour pressure effect. Figs. 2 and 3 show results of Gac oil extraction by SC-CO2 under various extract-tion temperatures. Recovery of Gac oil is plotted against extraction time.
