Jimenez et al. [14] studied the crystallization of polycaprolactone/
clay composites and reported that the crystallization
was governed by two processes, diffusion and nucleation. The
results of Fig. 4b clearly indicate that the presence of the benzoyl
group in the PLA modifies its ability to crystallize and is strongly
affected by the addition of NC only when these are chemically
bound to PLA.
