Capacity
The capacity of a pipe vice is the largest size pipe that the tool can accommodate. Most vices can hold pipe as small as 3mm in diameter, but the ranges of sizes of pipe that can be held can vary considerably. Some can only be used to hold pipe of a diameter of 50mm (2 inches), whereas others can hold pipe as large as 200mm (8 inches) in diameter.
