Third, a 4x3 contingency table analysis was performed in order to assess whether there were
differences in the intention to vote in the referendum due to the affiliation/religious practice
of individuals. When analyzing all the respondents, the association between the variables is on
the threshold of statistical significance [χ²(6) = 12.35, p = .055]. However, if we remove from
the analysis seven individuals who claim to profess another religion other than Catholic, the
relationship between the variables becomes statistically significant [χ²(4) = 11.67, p = .02]
