Dear potential host family,
My name is Thanaporn Intasena or you can call me FERN and I´m a 22 years old girl studying in Economics at Chiang Mai university in the northern part of Thailand. It has always been a big dream for me to live, work and study in a foreign country and I´m really excited that it could soon become reality in the USA.Firstly, let me introduce myself to try and help you with your decision and, I hope, to allow me to stay with your family.
I live together with my parents Peerasit (49), Theeranun (48) and my twin sister Thanatorn (Fang 22) in a house with six cutest rabbits. We always get together whenever we have time. even through, my sister and I are staying at a dormitory. I would like to tell something about my family:
My father works as a immigration police in Chiang Mai International Airport , my mother works as nurse in a hospital and my twin sister is currently studying in medicine . I have a good relationship with all my family but I would say that Fang is my closest family member because we understand each other very well and I can trust her with everything. Sometimes there is a little quarrel, but I feel this is normal and together we try to resolve our problems as fast as possible and support each other whenever we have a problem.
The reason that I am applying for an au pair is that I have wanted to work and take care of children. I have got a swimming trainer certificate and experience in teaching kids learn how to swim. Being a trainer, I have got skills in breathe controlling ,float controlling and supported board float while swimming. After my final school exams I´ve already arranged to have an internship at a kindergarten to gain more experience with younger children .Spending full time with kids for a 3 months, I learned how to control my emotions and not to make things too complicated. I have also learned how to calm down the kids who are crying with an idea of being understandable and generous. Some kids need more attention while others don't and this has taught me how to balance the situation.
Apart time taking classes at the university, I sometimes sell handmade stuff at a walking street having been held twice a week. There are a lot of people from different countries and it gives me an opportunity to use English to communicate with them. I'm a fast learner and will always be willing to learn new things and adjusting myself to a new environment. Therefore, living with a host family in American will not be any problem to me. Furthermore, I am a volunteer teacher at Community development volunteer club and there always have a community development activities every school break.
I passed my driving test over 4 year ago and I will be able to drive in the USA which I hope will be useful for your family in my experience for more than 2000 miles. I use the car several times a week and I believe I am a very careful driver.
Looking forward to hearing your interest from you.
Yours sincerely,
Ms. Thanaporn Intasena
