The Pah Rak Nam Project has successfully revived deteriorated forests, improved villagers’ way of life and promoted efficient agricultural management among them.
What is more, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit has a special interest in illiterate people in rural areas and continually works to teach them how to read and write. Realizing that most poor families cannot afford their children’s schooling fees, Her Majesty established the Foundation for Supporting Non-affordable Students in 1963 with money from her own Privy Purse and public donations.
