Golden age 189: Execution Family
Tohno is executing the Greek brothers.
Japan takes a 4-0 lead. Tohno and Kirihara are in high spirits and high five.
However, the brothers wipe the blood off their faces and appear completely unharmed.
“The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” - “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” (Reference)
A rally ensues. Akaya says something to Tohno, but Tohno merely hits him with another Electric Chair.
Akaya’s bloodshot eyes disappear and he remains on the ground. It becomes of a match of 1 vs 2.
After being pressured, Tohno faces a smash aimed directly at his knee - “Greek Execution Method CMXIII (913) - Plate Split of Desire” - and it appears as if his knee cap is shattered.
Tohno is lying on the ground, holding his knee.
Golden age 190: Ungraceful Way of Life
Tohno is on the receiving end of more executions: “Greek Execution Method CDXXII (423) - Monday’s Flying Kites” and “Greek Execution Method DLXIV (564) - Black Panther Horde.” (Note: Apparently the numbers here are puns - “Don’t die” and “Kill.”)
Tohno has collapsed behind the net, the brothers are looking down on him from the other side.
Flashback: Tohno tells Kimijima about his favorite executioners and it turns out his no. 1 is the Greek brothers’ ancestor, Charles Stephanoploss who apparently developed 999 execution methods back in the day.
Tohno calls out to the brothers and hits a weak ball at one of the siblings’ heads, proclaiming it as his “Execution Method - Shooting.”
The brothers keep stoning Tohno and Kimijima notes the irony of Tohno being executed by his favorite’s descendants.
Once again, Tohno attempts one of his own Execution Methods - this time it’s Seppuku. But once again he is blown away in return.
Greece levels the match at 4-4.
In light of Tohno’s injuries, Oishi asks Tanegashima to forfeit the match.
Tanegashima - Tohno Flashback: “How’s your knee, Atsushi Kyou?” - “The hell, Tanegashima! Did you come to laugh at me!? …No matter how often my knee is smashed… I will return as a Japanese representative. Even if you’re going to laugh, this is my ungraceful way of life.”
Tohno tries to get up again, but fails to do so. Akaya is watching with tears in his eyes.
However, as Orion turns his back to the net, a ball is dropping from the sky and hits his neck. His head falls off and he is unable to move anymore. Tohno: “Your assisted suicide… your execution… is finished.”
Golden age 191: Repent
Tanegashima explains again that once someone has taken all of Tohno’s Executions, their body will be paralyzed and they will be unable to even lift a finger.
Appollon tries to save himself, but he, too, is hit by the final shot on the neck.
“Huh? I can… move?” It seems Appollon somehow escaped the assisted suicide.
Tohno finally collapses for good.
“Seaweed headed bastard… it’s your turn.” “Who’s a seaweed heaaaaaad!?”
Akaya enters Devil Mode and finishes the match and Japan wins 6-4. Akaya is lively whereas Tohno has to use his racket as a crutch.
The Greek HSers reveal that Zeus had actually intended for the brothers to lose, so that they could grow from their defeat.
Kimijima explains that Tohno used Electric Chair against Akaya on purpose to prevent him from being executed by the brothers.
Finally, the first singles match is about to start. The crowd notes that after holding their own in the Pre-WC against Germany, Japan has now won two consecutive matches against Greece.
Shiraishi steps onto the court, his opponent is… none other than the Greek captain, Zeus!
