The effect of initial pH of the peat water on the
percentage of humic acid adsorbed was studied by
varying the initial pH of peat water and keeping the
other process parameters as constant. The results are
shown in Fig. 7. As shown in Fig. 7, the increase in
initial pH of the peat water decreased the percentage
of humic acid adsorbed.
It was stated that CSC contain polar functional
groups such as amino and silanol groups in their
molecular structure, which can be involved in
