Plasma glucose and lactate concentrations were higher (P=0.02
and 0.02 respectively; Fig. 4b and c) for Georgie Lake fish compared
with Dalrymple fish, which may indicate greater capture stress at
Georgie Lake. However, plasma cortisol concentrations were not
different between Dalrymple and Georgie Lake fish (P=0.25; Fig. 4a).
Georgie Lake fish also had higher plasma chloride concentrations
(P≤0.001), but their plasma sodium (P=0.93) and potassium (P=0.24)
did not differ from Dalrymple fish (Fig. 4d–f).
