Good night Yuva.
Last evening with Meaw and Craig was very pleasant. They are both very kind and generous
people. I think Meaw is confused on how I knew when to pull the steaks off the grill. Especially
after I confessed to have never grilled that high a quality of steak on the grill before. I called it luck,
but a steak just has a certain look about on a grill that says, okay folks, I'm ready to get off now.
I was also talking about a southern dish I learned how to make maybe 20 some odd years ago. It's
called chicken fired steak. It has beef in it, so I know you wouldn't try it. So I volunteered to make
it for Craig and Meaw some time soon. It is a dish out of the southern parts of the US. Easy to make,
but very messy and a bit time consuming to get everything done all at the same time. Brooke says her
mother does a better job with the breading, and I do a better job with the flavor. So now we know
where I stole the recipe from!
Thank you very much for the kind and generous Birthday greetings. The T-shirts are great. The
centerpiece is really beautiful. And if that is not what it was intended for, that is where I am going
put it. The card was exceptionally kind. You are a very thoughtful and precious woman. Thank you
again so very much.
The surrogacy issue is really catching a lot of attention with the western media. They are now
reporting several couples from the US and Australia have been stopped from leaving Thailand with
their babies. It is being reported they have insufficient or inaccurate paper work. The military is
denying the actual numbers saying it is not something they have flagged for reporting. But there
sure are a lot of couples called western media outlets to offer their side of the story.
The US Embassy is reported to be in discussions with Thai officials about what to do about
surrogacy issues. From the report:"Embassy officials were seeking clarification about Thailand's
immigration requirements and talking to Thai government authorities to determine what the
ramifications may be for U.S. parents who have already entered into surrogacy agreements in
Thailand".
Pleasant dreams and sleep well. Thank you again for the kind presents. I think of you all the time.
Randy
