Sitting ability, postural alignment and functional
movement are areas targeted by physical and
occupational therapists [6,26], with seating interventions
[6,35]. For this study, responsiveness, the
fourth criterion, was defined as the capacity to detect
clinically meaningful change [36]. The change
should be large enough to be statistically significant,
and precise enough to reflect increments of change
that are of clinical value.
