The lipid content was determined using the method of Folch,
Lees, and Stanley (1957). For classification of the fatty acids, the
lipids were esterified in a sodium methylate solution to obtain the
fatty acid methyl esters which subsequently were extracted into a
pentane phase and analysed on a GC with FID according to the
methodology by Jart (1997). The presented values are the mean of
duplicate samples.
